MyLu began as a simple idea during a team conversation. What started as a rough concept quickly became something real: a trusted LuMay AI teammate shaped through sketches, identity work, engineering, testing, GTM thinking, and production readiness, all in one focused week.

This started in a regular standup conversation. We were discussing whether we should add a chatbot to our website, and that simple thought quickly evolved into something bigger. I did not want us to build just another chatbot. I wanted us to create something that feels like real help, something that understands what a person needs and helps them move forward naturally.
I wanted to share this journey as a reminder that even small ideas, when we choose to act on them, can become something real and production-ready. In just five days, as part of a stretch goal, we brought this idea to life. MyLu, an AI assistant guide for LuMay that supports and engages users seamlessly across our website and phone interactions.
The Starting Point
Once the idea clicked, the team did not need long discussions. Everyone naturally understood their role.
That clarity created momentum and helped us move fast with purpose.
We set a single non-negotiable: every interaction had to feel genuinely helpful, not scripted.
From design to deployment, every person owned their slice no hand-offs, no waiting.
From Conversation to a Live Product in Five Days
MyLu was never meant to be just a character on a screen. He was created to represent how LuMay thinks about AI: useful, calm, trustworthy, approachable, and ready to work.
The origin story describes a five-day sprint from concept to a live autonomous AI agent, built end-to-end with security, compliance, performance, and GTM readiness considered from the start.
That same story also framed MyLu as an outcome the team could proudly stand behind, something real, deployed, and ready to grow.
"MyLu is not just a concept. He is the proof that speed, clarity, and the right team can turn an idea into something live, useful, and ready for business."
Day 1
We started with clarity. The team aligned on what MyLu should be and how it should feel in real use. Its identity, including face, presence, and purpose, was explored early, and naming it made the idea real for everyone.
Day 2
The focus moved to interaction. We shaped how MyLu should respond, guide, and support users in a natural and consistent way. Tone, behavior, and early sketches helped define the overall experience.
Day 3
Execution took shape as the system was built. Architecture, integrations, workflows, and security came together to support real use cases. The idea became a working system ready for real scenarios.
Day 4
We improved and strengthened the system through testing and iteration. The visual identity, including expression and presence, was finalized while the experience was aligned for reliability and scale.
Day 5
Everything came together for the full market launch. MyLu was stable, secure, and fully branded, ready for use within LuMay and prepared to be deployed for other businesses as a complete, ready-to-ship solution.

What we built in five days was not just about speed. It changed how people experience both our website and phone - making it easier to ask, get answers, and move forward without hesitation or confusion.
Visitors no longer need to search or navigate through pages - they ask and get what they need right away
Every interaction is picked up in the moment - whether on the website or a call, nothing gets missed
Simple questions don't slow people down - they lead to clear next steps
Over time, those moments build trust. And that trust shapes how people experience the brand.
We started with pencil sketches and refined MyLu through iterations. The spark in the eyes and energy in the face made it feel full of life.

The first notebook page captures raw thinking: character shapes, face styles, posture, and what kind of presence MyLu should have.

The second sketch page shows the search for a softer and more memorable silhouette that feels approachable and simple.

Different visual directions helped narrow the personality of the mascot. This stage explored softness, polish, and a character style that could live well across web, product, and brand materials.

A clear thumbs-up pose reinforced warmth and confidence.

This version connects character and label directly for clearer communication.

The green palette brings MyLu back into the LuMay family and feels strong on screen.

The moment it all came together a spark, shared smiles across the team, and a truly meaningful memory we will remember for a lifetime.

The final MyLu - friendly, confident, and ready to guide. Here to simplify, explain, and make the LuMay experience feel natural.
We celebrated this milestone with a MyLu cake, team bonding, and discussions with our CEO on future vision. It brought energy and clarity to what comes next.
On 19th March 2026, MyLu went live as LuMay's autonomous AI teammate. A five-day sprint turned into a real product, ready to guide, explain, and work alongside every business.
